Presently, Hillary Clinton is busy trying to promote her candidacy for the 2016 Presidency. The first step in establishing her run is diverting – or at least manipulating – the negative view the American public has of her. This includes disfavored opinions pertaining to Benghazi and her run as Secretary of State . However, a more debilitating matter for Clinton is the fact most Americans cannot mention one accomplishment she’s done or they don’t even know her policies .
To truly reverse such a disheartening view of herself, Hillary Clinton is going to need to utilize a lot of connections and resources. Apparently, one of her resources – being money – won’t be a problem as she, along with Bill Clinton, continues to take cash from firms that previously lobbied Hillary Clinton’s State Department.
Before diving into the meat of the matter of lobbyists funding the Clinton Family, it probably should be important to recognize just how much they made since 2014. According to Politico , Hillary Clinton and former President Bill Clinton earned more than $25 million . A total average of $5 million was made by Hillary’s book Hard Choices . So the question that matters is where did the other $25 million come from?
Apparently, the rest of the income came from firms, that lobbied for Hillary Clinton’s Secretary of State, through speeches. That’s right! Both Hillary and Bill made the majority of their money through speeches, 104 to be exact , as reported by International Business Times .
This surely sounds like the grand hustle of business but it does present a quagmire in the political field, especially when questions asked about said arrangement are constantly left open-ended and unanswered. The reason for such dodging is because by the Clinton Family accepting such payments from said firms, those firms may have influenced many of the Clinton Family’s political decisions, especially when Hillary was Secretary of State.
Though a clear-cut answer hasn’t been provided, it might just be that the issue isn’t pressed too hard. The fact that numerous banks and media companies are listed as the many firms who paid the Clinton Family to do speeches for them.
