Taylor Swift May Receive Bad News About Her ‘1989’ Album This Week

Taylor Swift’s 1989 has been in the top five on Billboard ‘s album chart for the past 24 weeks. According to Headline Planet , Taylor’s top five reign is about to end .

“Based on current projections, five albums are set to achieve greater levels of weekly consumption than Taylor Swift’s ‘1989.’ If they indeed do so, they will knock Swift’s blockbuster out of the Billboard 200’s Top 5 for the first time. Dating back to its late-2014 release, ‘1989’ has appeared inside the Top 5 of 24 straight Billboard 200 charts. Since 1963, only eight other albums have achieved a streak of at least that long.”

Taylor Swift’s 1989 album has produced two number one singles, “Shake it Off” and “Blank Space.” Her latest single “Style” has peaked at No. 6. Swift’s next single will likely be “Bad Blood” and a video for the song has already been filmed , according to Billboard .

“No bad blood among Taylor Swift’s friends. Swift reportedly recruited a few of her BFFs to help film a music video for her song ‘Bad Blood,’ which will presumably be the next single from 1989 but has not yet been announced. Details are scarce about the possible video, but photos surfaced online over the weekend that seem to show supermodel Cara Delevingne and others on set shooting the vid, all wearing futuristic hair and makeup.”

Music Times reports on the possible collaborators for the” Bad Blood” remix.

“Though the remix and the status of ‘Bad Blood’ as Swift’s next single remains unconfirmed, that hasn’t stopped fans from wondering who the mystery guest would be, making ‘Bad Blood’ a top worldwide trending topic on Twitter. The major buzz is that the surprise guest remixer is none other than Kanye West, whom Swift went into the studio with earlier this year after they buried the hatchet at the Grammys. Other popular guesses for the guest on the remix include: Cher Lloyd, Calvin Harris or even Katy Perry.”

Besides preparing the new single and upcoming world tour, Swift was just announced as one of Time Magazine ‘s 100 most influential people.

“Taylor Swift: megawatt talent, an extraordinary spirit, an impossibly charming blend of impishness, poise and radiance to spare. All of it combines to rock me back on my heels every time I see her. Both literally and figuratively, she’s a woman who writes her own songs. That makes for music that’s personal, of the moment and impossible to resist,” writes author Marisa Hargitay.

Despite her album likely dropping out of the top five this week, Swift remains the hottest name in music. The pop music world is fickle though, so let’s hope we are still mentioning Taylor Swift’s name 10 years from now.
