WWE News: Sons Of Wrestling Legend Kevin Von Erich Getting WWE Tryouts, Will The Von Erich Dynasty Continue?

Published on: April 10, 2015 at 3:09 AM

WWE is known for bringing in very talented wrestlers. While we used to see an influx of body builders, today it seems that Triple H wants to bring in a lot of Independent talent that has vast experience. However, on occasion, WWE likes to bring in people that they feel can be big just because they had someone in the business to help them, such as a father.

We’ve seen a lot of second and third generation stars come in as of late, many of which have had success. People such as The Rock, Randy Orton, Natalya, and others have all seen WWE success and broke out of their respective father’s shadow. Now, two more people are getting that opportunity.

Ross and Marsh Von Erich, sons of pro-wrestling legend Kevin Von Erich, are getting tryouts soon.

Kevin broke the news on Twitter .

“Ross and Marsh are going to Orlando for NXT in mid May, They are in great shape, they stay ready.”

Of course, his sons are only going through a tryout period where they might even get a chance to appear on WWE NXT . While they are third generation wrestlers, this does not guarantee them a job with WWE. However, both have been impressive in their time outside of WWE. Both Ross and Marsh have independent experience as well as experience with TNA Wresting.

That is a big deal these days.

While the Von Erich family only had a small role with WWE in the past, having people from such a dynasty to be part of the company is something they will surely consider. Second and third generation wrestlers are typically impressive in their ring and mic work and seem to be born for the business. That is why people like Randy Savage, Randy Orton, and The Rock seem to all standout.

They all knew what to do organically and all were teachable. Ross and Marsh are gifted athletes who have shown a lot of promise in their time as wrestlers. Like many, they need to improve before being thrown on the main stage. However, the fact that their last name is Von Erich is quite helpful. A name carries a lot, and there is a big chance that WWE will let them keep the name coming in like they did with Randy Orton.

However, like The Rock or Randy Savage, they may want to pave their own way without the use of their family’s legacy. The Von Erich Legacy, while great, is very dark . So paving a new way might be better in the long run. While the Von Erich family is still beloved, they will be able to bring the same love along with them despite the name. Clearly, both Ross and Marsh still have to prove they belong in WWE before such a thing needs to be worried over. However, both have proven to be quite impressive in the last number of years.

Both have been trained by their father, Kevin, and Harley Race. On top of that, they have learned in Japan from Pro-Wrestling Noah. Ross is the most experienced of the brothers, as he is older and more advanced. However, his brother, Marshall, has shown just as much promise. Both perform mostly as a tag team, which is something WWE might use to their advantage if they decide to sign the brothers to a WWE deal.
