When WWE announced that there would be a NXT tournament at WWE Fan Axxess with the winner earning a spot in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal, most people assumed that Finn Balor would win it and end up winning the Battle Royal at WrestleMania . Well, unfortunately, that didn’t happen, as Hideo Itami ended up winning the tournament. He was treated like a complete joke in the Battle Royal when he was effortlessly tossed out by Big Show.
Fans of the NXT product feel that Finn Balor is more than ready to be on WWE’s main roster, and the fact that he’s already fought for the NXT Championship and lost doesn’t really give him much of a reason to stay in WWE’s developmental territory.
When it became apparent that Balor wasn’t going to be making his main roster debut at WrestleMania , most people predicted that he would be making his debut on RAW the very next night. There were two NXT acts who made their debut and Balor wasn’t one of them, as Adrian Neville and the Lucha Dragons got the big call instead.
Balor talked with Peter Rosenberg and David Shoemaker of Cheap Heat and discussed being left off of this year’s WrestleMania card. However, he said that the only way that he’ll be left off of next years is if he is dead.
“I will say that the only way I’m not on ‘WrestleMania 32’ is if I’m dead. Because I’ll tell you now, after seeing this… I came to WWE six months ago and it’s been a rollercoaster six months. Seeing this, in 12 months that’s what I’m aiming for.”
Balor is by far WWE’s highest-paid developmental star, and there have been rumors that due to his pay, WWE will have no choice but to call him up to the main roster at some point in the near future. There were people who were hoping that Balor would show up as one of Randy Orton’s mystery partners on this past Monday’s RAW . With the benefit of hindsight, that’s probably what they should have done.
Hope Orton’s partners are Roman and FINN BALOR

The post- WrestleMania RAW is typically when WWE likes to have new wrestlers make their debut, or old wrestlers make their return. Balor could make his WWE main roster debut this coming summer and have his first big pay-per-view match at SummerSlam , much like Bray Wyatt did in the summer of 2012 when he took on Kane at SummerSlam .
