WWE News: Vince McMahon Is Planning A HUGE Surprise At WrestleMania 31, What Is it?

WrestleMania week has officially started and with it comes a lot of news and updates on the biggest event in wrestling. Whether you believe this is going to be a good or bad WrestleMania , the fact is there is some anticipation for at least a few matches on the card. That said, many of us, even with our complaints, will watch the show on PPV or the WWE Network.

The show could be taking a similar turn to WrestleMania 30 , where a big surprise occurred. According to Daily Wrestling News , WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon and WWE officials are planning a huge surprise to take place at the event.

Some have speculated it could be the return of WWE Superstar Sheamus while others believe it will be far bigger. Vince is saying he wants to do something quite memorable at the event, which would lead us to believe something could take place that is quite massive.

Last year, a similar report came out, which is interesting at the very least. As millions of heartbroken wrestling fans now know, The Undertaker’s streak was broken by Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania 30 .

There have been some reports that Lesnar will retain the WWE World Heavyweight Championship and be beaten for it down the line. The only issue with this that Lesnar would have to re-sign with WWE. This is something WWE is attempting to get taken care of, but until he does sign, there is no way he’ll retain the WWE World Title.

Other surprises rumored are Seth Rollins cashing in Money in the Bank, and even Paul Heyman turning on Lesnar to align with Roman Reigns. There are other things that could happen, but there are very few concrete hints as the WWE is playing their cards close to the vest. However, since a similar report came out last year, and we witnessed one of the most memorable moments in the history of pro wrestling with the defeat of The Undertaker, then chances are that we’ll get something similar this year.

Most would imagine that it’ll have to do with Roman Reigns or a younger talent of some sort that WWE can build up. Since it would give them a WrestleMania moment, it would allow WWE to promote someone new to the top. Obviously, the golden boy is Reigns, so it would make sense to see him involved. If not, Seth Rollins seems like the likely choice as he second on the list of wrestlers WWE has been giving a major push.

Regardless of what the surprise is, the fact that we may get one is a good incentive to watch the show. WWE doesn’t typically pull a TNA by promising us a big surprise, only to give us garbage. When WWE claims a surprise is coming, it is usually something we’ll like or at least, it is quite compelling. We’ll just have to wait six more days to find out what it is that WWE has planned.
