They don’t call it the Heart Attack Grill for nothing. A man dining at the controversial restaurant in Las Vegas had a heart attack while eating the famous “Triple Bypass Burger.”

One of the waitresses, Nurse Bridgett (the waitresses dress like nurses at Heart Attack Grill) said:

“He was having the sweats and shaking.”

The medical staff / waitresses alerted restaurant owner “Doctor” Jon Basso, who thought that the heart attack was a big joke at the time. Basso said:

“One of the nurses came back to me and said, ‘Dr. Jon, we’ve got a patient who’s in trouble…. Tourists were taking photos of him as if it were some type of stunt,” Basso said. “Even with our own morbid sense of humor, we would never pull a stunt like that.”

An ambulance came and brought the unnamed man to the hospital. According to Fox News, he is currently recuperating.

This isn’t the first time that the Heart Attack Grill has seen one of its loyal customers run into a health hazard. The restaurant, which lets people over 350 pounds eat for free, said farewell to its 29-year-old spokesman Blair River . At the time of River’s death, restaurant owner Basso said:

“Cynical people might think this [River’s death] is funny, but people who knew him are crying their eyes out. There is a lot of mourning going on around here. You couldn’t have found a better person.”

Here’s a video featuring Blair River and the Heart Attack Grill diet program.
