‘The Walking Dead’ Spoilers: Will Anyone Die This Week After Rick’s Big Fight, And What’s Up With Enid?

The Walking Dead fans had to endure another tragic death during last week’s episode, and it was accompanied by a second demise that could have huge repercussions for Rick Grimes’ group. It looks like Death has followed the survivors to Alexandria, but will the body count continue to go up during this week’s episode, “Try?” Be forewarned that spoilers are ahead.

The Spoiling Dead Fans has shared a few spoilers for the next episode of The Walking Dead , and viewers will be relieved to know that there will be no deaths this Sunday. However, fans are probably getting his short break from heartbreak because next week’s finale is going to feature the death of one or more beloved characters. As the Inquisitr previously reported, Norman Reedus said that the finale will be a real tearjerker, and it will have viewers screaming at their televisions. It’s also been revealed that his fan favorite character, Daryl Dixon, will find himself in some sort of danger.

Instead of killing off more characters, this week’s episode of The Walking Dead will set up one deadly season finale showdown. It will start when Jessie decides to let Rick try to help her with her abusive husband, Pete. Pete will take a swing at Rick, and the resulting brawl will leave Rick all bloodied up.

One of the Spoiling Dead Fans spoilers makes it sound like Rick will tell Deanna exactly what Carol told him: Pete needs to be killed. However, Deanna will inform Rick that he “does not get to decide who lives in the community,” and the constable will not take her answer well.

“Rick tells them they will not survive if they don’t fight. He goes a bit insane and gets knocked out by Michonne.”

Rick must do something pretty crazy if Michonne feels the need to knock him out. It’s understandable that he’s upset about Deanna’s refusal to do anything about Pete’s behavior, but her reluctance to oust Jessie’s husband is also understandable — Pete is the town doctor, after all.

Many Walking Dead fans have pointed out that the Rick/Pete TV story arc seems to be following the same trajectory that it did in the comic books, so someone will likely die during their next confrontation. The most likely candidate is Deanna’s husband, Reg — his comic book counterpart, Regina, gets killed by Pete during a funeral (there’s definitely a few of those in the future). Rick then puts an end to Pete’s reign of terror by shooting him. A group of sinister survivors called the Scavengers hears the gunshot, and it helps them find Alexandria.

On the Walking Dead TV series, it appears that the Scavengers have been renamed the Wolves. This Sunday, Daryl Dixon and Aaron will see more evidence of this gang’s brutality when they discover a female walker tied to a tree with her guts spilled out and a “W” carved on her head (isn’t this what Carol threatened to do to Sam?).

Carl’s crush, Enid , will pop up again in “Try,” and the two Alexandria outsiders will actually become friends. However, little be revealed about Enid’s mysterious past. Hypable believes that the girl might fulfill Sophia’s comic book role — in that alternate Walking Dead reality , Sophia makes it to Alexandria with Rick Grimes’ group, and she and Carl become romantically involved. You can check out a sneak peek below that shows why Enid is Carl’s perfect match — she also likes to run off in search of trouble.

Because of everything else going on this week, Maggie won’t get a chance to tell Rick what she overheard Father Gabriel saying about their group. Perhaps Gabe will pay for his own sins during the season finale. And as far as Tara’s fate is concerned, she’s in stable condition in the hospital. However, she might be in big trouble if Alexandria’s doctor dies next week.

The next-to-last season 5 episode of The Walking Dead airs this Sunday at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.
