The most common complaints of Destiny players remain at the top of Bungie’s fix list. The developer dropped a heads up Thursday on what unpopular issues it is trying to work into the next patch for the PlayStation and Xbox shooter. Vault space and fixes to both raids come in as number one and two.
Bungie released a 1.1.1.1 hotfix patch to Destiny earlier this week, but it was solely focused on back end improvements to help the game’s developers monitor the game. The next patch will be 1.1.2 and will arrive sometime in the next several weeks, before The House of Wolves expansion launches.

Community Manager David “Deej” Dague was careful not to guarantee that the changes the developers are currently targeting will make it in the next patch. However, the item at the top of the list should make players who have been frustrated with the large number of weapons, armor, and items to manage.
“ Vault Space – We know you need more space to collect all the treasures you gain from your missions, and more gear is on the way.”
Increasing the amount of Vault space seems more like a necessity at this point instead of a nice-to-have feature. Player’s inventory space between the Vault and three characters is already close to full after collecting gear from the main game and the Dark Below expansion. The House of Wolves and its many new weapons will be testing the limits of inventory management at current constraints, even with the new Companion App .
Fixes to the “Vault of Glass” and “Crota’s End” raids are also on the table.
“ Raid Fixes – There are times when Atheon and Crota can be uncooperative, so we’re tackling their worst bugs.”
While Dague doesn’t specify which of the worst bugs are being tackled, Bungie does have two separate articles for issues that they are tracking in both raids. For “ Vault of Glass ,” they list as follows.
- Atheon can teleport the incorrect number of players into the Vex Timegate.
- Players can be teleported into Vex Timegates with the detain bubble active.
- Atheon can cause splash damage to players even when they appear to be in the relic bubble.
- Minotaur’s health and shield regenerate after being struck by the relic.
- Time gates could frequently double teleport players if the other side is blocked
The “ Crota’s End ” list of issues is much shorter.
- The sword that drops from the Swordbearer during the Crota fight can sometimes disappear.
- Crota can get up early and kill the sword-carrier unexpectedly.
Vault space and Raids aren’t the only fixes on the table. Bungie also plans to provide more audio and visual options, plus make changes to ammo crates in PvP matches. Whether that is for special weapon ammo, heavy weapon ammo, or both is unknown at this point.
The final item on the potential fix list is Strikes and the reasoning behind it is interesting.
“ Strikes – The numbers tell us that there are some missions that are successfully completed far less than others, inspiring us to look at why people quit.”
What do you think of these potential fixes for the next Destiny patch? Sound off in the comments below.
