On Saturday, February 21, an Atlanta woman was allegedly beaten unconscious by people she considered her friends. According to the Sun Times Atlanta , 23-year-old Myriah Pointer was brutally attacked, and her injuries are quite shocking. However, what’s more shocking is the alleged reason for the brutal attack.
Apparently, she sat on a Whopper Jr. burger that belonged to one of her friends. The argument over the burger reportedly began as a highly explicit verbal sparring match, which led to Pointer’s horrific injuries. She now has two black eyes, a concussion, chipped teeth, and a concussion.
Days after the brutal assault, Pointer took to Facebook with a lengthy statement and photos of the injuries she sustained as a result of the brutal beating. She also included a detailed description of her horrific injuries. The Facebook post immediately caught the attention of thousands and now has more than 30,000 shares.
Here’s what she had to say.
“This past weekend I was set up by the two girls I called my best friends and one of they cousins. I was held down and stomped until I was unconscious. Once I gained consciousness they were still beating and stomping me. This went on for about 3 hours and then they threw and cracked my phone and hid my battery for another and held me hostage! I am BLESSED to be alive and I need justice to be served because I DID NOT deserve this. If you can get the attention of any news station, attorney, or newspaper please pass this story on because Atlanta Police aren’t doing taking this as serious as it is. I have fatal facial& scalp confusions, post-concussion syndrome, subconjunctival hemorrhage, and busted blood vessels!”
However, Facebook isn’t the only social media network where news about the attack has been posted. To make matters worse, the full video of the brutal attack has surfaced on World Star Hip Hop .
The footage shows Pointer’s friends viciously punching, stomping, and dragging her across what appears to be a living room floor. Although the video is less than three minutes long, Pointer claims she was actually held hostage at the friend’s home for more than three hours.
During a recent interview with WSB-TV , Pointer recounted the brutal attack. She also revealed her attacker’s boyfriend and three-year-old son actually witnessed the entire incident.
“I’m more hurt emotionally than physically… I was unconscious while they were beating me.”
“I wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy.”
The Atlanta Police Department is currently investigating the series of events surrounding Pointer’s brutal attack.
