Get your popcorn ready for the Oscars 2015, to be hosted by TV’s golden boy Neil Patrick Harris. This year, you can live-stream the Academy Awards as Harris shows off his triple-threat skills, reported the New York Daily News .

As host, Harris follows the legacy of Billy Crystal and Bob Hope. And the creative actor-singer-dancer revealed that he only had one concern when it came to providing him with the freedom to prescribe his own Doogie Howser remedy for the sometimes-dull, lengthy broadcast.

“You don’t want to sign on, and then be told what to do,” said Neil of asking the producers for room to improvise.

As for the nominees, Jennifer Aniston has admitted that she had hoped to be among them for her role in Cake, as the Inquisitr reported.

And Aniston wasn’t alone. Also touted to be nominated but then snubbed was Angelina Jolie for directing Unbroken .

But Jennifer is taking the high road by agreeing to present at the Oscars , reported Us Weekly . She will be joined by Selma ‘s David Oyelowo, who also was expected to be nominated for portraying Martin Luther King, Jr.
