Teresa Aprea of The Real Housewives of New Jersey is reportedly facing a lawsuit after she allegedly failed to clean her restaurant employees’ uniforms.
On February 17, TMZ reported the following.
“Teresa Aprea has been slapped with a huge laundry bill — her employees claim she shorted their checks and made ’em pay to clean their own uniforms.”
According to the report, a former bartender and server at Teresa Aprea’s New York City restaurant, Angelo’s of Mulberry St., claims the reality star and her husband, Rino, only paid them for 7 hours of work when they worked for 10 hours. In addition, the employees claim the Real Housewives of New Jersey couple paid them “out-of-pocket” to wash their uniforms when state law requires employers to do otherwise.
The employees’ attorney, David Gottlieb, is requesting Teresa Aprea and her husband pay up to $2,500 per employee for “unpaid wages and overtime, uniform cleaning costs, plus an unspecified amount of damages.”
Teresa Aprea and her twin sister, Nicole Napolitano, came aboard The Real Housewives of New Jersey ahead of Season 6, filling the empty spaces left by Caroline Manzo and Jacqueline Laurita. Dina Manzo also returned to the series for Season 6, which made for quite the full house — especially after producers brought Laurita back.
As for The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 7, that has yet to be confirmed, and since Teresa Giudice, the show’s unofficial star, is behind bars until early next year, the future of the series may not be decided on anytime soon.
Although Bravo hasn’t yet decided if and when the series will return, Andy Cohen did recently speak out about the issue. As the Inquisitr reported on Saturday, Cohen dished on Season 7 during an appearance at the 12th Annual Woman’s Day Red Dress Awards.
“I can’t imagine not filming The Real Housewives of New Jersey ,” Cohen told Us Weekly .
“It’s a big franchise for Bravo, and I think whatever we do, we’re going to do it the right way, so we’re still figuring that out right now.”
Cohen even spoke of the possibility of filming Giudice behind bars at the federal correctional facility in Danbury, Connecticut. However, he didn’t seem to think it would be an option.
“I don’t know the specifics of what they allow, but I can’t see them allowing [us to film people visiting her in prison].”
Teresa Aprea hasn’t yet revealed whether she’ll return to the series if it is renewed.
