If you’re excited about the new James Bond film Spectre , you’ll be pleased to know the first behind the scene footage is now available online, a report from Slashfilm can confirm. The video shows Daniel Craig reprising his role as the titular British spy as well special behind the scenes segments with the film’s crew.

The footage was posted to the official James Bond Twitter page yesterday.

The footage shows parts of the film will take place on the Austrian Alps with – you guessed it – snowmobiles. Craig is also briefly seen in the video firing his trusty pistol and punching enemies. While the footage is only brief, fans of the James Bond films will most likely be excited about Spectre , which is scheduled for release this November.

You can see the full video below.

Spectre will mark the 24th James Bond film and Craig’s fourth time donning his trademark tuxedo for the role. A story on The Guardian also reports that alongside the footage, an exclusive image from the set has been released, which shows Bond donning goggles and his pistol, similar to how he looks in the video.

So what does the scene above depict? According to associate producer Gregg Wilson, the Austrian Alps will be, “one of the major action sequences of the movie, a jewel in the crown so to speak. It’s going to be spectacular.”

We have to deliver an amazing sequence and this is going to be one of the major action sequences of the movie… Austria seemed to offer everything that we needed to pull it off.

It’s not surprising that parts of Spectre will take place on or around snowy mountainous regions. Some of the most popular James Bond moments have featured alpine backdrops, particularly the union jack parachute jump featured in The Spy Who Loved Me .

There have also been strong rumours circulating that English actor Idris Elba may be up next for the role of James Bond, which would make him the first black actor to play the popular spy. While Elba is keen to play the role, he says he would only do it under one condition .

I just don’t want to be called the first black James Bond. Do you understand what I’m saying? Sean Connery wasn’t the Scottish James Bond and Daniel Craig wasn’t the blue-eyed James Bond. So if I played him, I don’t want to be called the black James Bond.

While fans still have a bit of wait until the new James Bond film hits the big screen, they can still whet their appetite with the footage and stills from Spectre .
