‘Real Housewives Of New Jersey’ Star Wants Teresa Giudice Axed?

The Real Housewives of New Jersey star Jim Marchese is ready for Bravo to move on from Teresa Giudice.

“I don’t think she should be on the show any longer,” Marchese told the New York Daily News’ Confidenti@l . “I think glorifying a felon’s life is counterproductive, and I don’t think it’s appropriate.”

While Marchese may have a point, Giudice is the longest-running full-time housewife on The Real Housewives of New Jersey , and likely a main draw for viewers.

“By the same argument, I think we could have (imprisoned Ponzi schemer) Bernie Madoff on the show. He has good name recognition also, and he’s done things and I’m sure there would be some curiosity, but (the show) is about families and dynamics. It isn’t about seeing how individuals can work our system, rip off the American people, not pay taxes and then live a lifestyle that pretty much no one I know has.”

“Every other business model has a code of ethics,” he added

As the Inquisitr previously reported, Marchese claimed last month that The Real Housewives of New Jersey could go on without Giudice , and should, given the fact that she’ll be behind bars until early next year.

“From what I understand, it takes a three or four month break after filming. The time frames I would start to expect shooting wouldn’t be for a month or two, and from the storylines — people’s lives — there’s so much that can still go on,” he told FOX 411 .

“It’s not about just one character. It’s all the characters. There was one episode that drew a lot of attention and she [Teresa] wasn’t even there. The show does well because of the dynamics of the group and the interaction of the group. I believe the show can go on without Teresa.”

In an interview with AllAboutTRH last year, Marchese’s wife, Amber, revealed she was on board for the upcoming season of the show, and hoped Bravo would spotlight herself and the other new cast mates, including Nicole Napolitano and Teresa Aprea.

“They should really focus on getting to know the new girls and everyone has an amazing story and I think they need to focus on the dynamics of the girls – less fighting. You saw the lost footage…you saw we were getting along and they cut out all of that and they went right to the drama and there was so many things that happened before that. New Jersey’s about fun, were about strong personalities, were about family and the Italian way and were just so different and it’s unique and everyone brings something to the table.”

The Real Housewives of New Jersey has yet to be officially renewed for a seventh season.
