Lindsay Lohan’s proverbial chickens are coming home to roost. That’s what happens when you get found guilty of DUI, and all the more so when it comes to failing to complete the sentence of community service.
According to the latest reports, Judge Richard Stone , who is presiding over the case, set a February 18 hearing to review concerns regarding Lohan’s possible failure to fulfill her community service.
For her part, Lohan is expected to provide the court with further documentation verifying that she completed 80 hours of community service in 10 days, as she was ordered to do.
However, prosecutors were not able to compel Lohan to appear in person and swear under oath that she completed her court-ordered obligations, despite their best efforts.
L.A Attorney Terry White, the prosecutor who handled the case in which Lindsay Lohan may have lied to authorities, doubts very much that the actress completed her service.
An inside source told reporters the following.
“The prosecutor was just given the progress report this morning and there are some big questions that need to be answered. Specifically, dates when Lindsay was in the hospital being treated for Chikungunya are listed as days she was completing community service.”
While Lohan has been partying hard, in Paris most recently , her attorney, Shawn Holley, will reportedly give the judge proof that his client did in fact fulfill her duties, as far as the community service is concerned.
It remains to be seen what the outcome of the upcoming hearing will be as Lindsay Lohan finds herself in the midst of a legal mess, a mess which could get a whole lot worse before it gets better.
Whether or not Lohan will stay on the “straight and narrow,” and stay away from DUIs and drug abuse, depends upon how she will cope with her alleged serious mental issues.
