Flav will have to appear in court on January 21 to reach an agreement for his plea. When the news broke of Flavor Flav’s indictment, the rapper’s attorney declined to comment. At the time of his arrest, the rapper had 16 outstanding traffic violations, which was why he didn’t have a license.
During his arraignment last year, Flavor Flav was in good spirits as he smiled at people in court, and left with a cheerful, “God is good. G-I-G.”
Flav addressed the reporters after his arraignment and was hopeful that the charges would be dismissed.
“I’m hoping they would have a heart and dismiss it all because of the circumstances, because if it wasn’t for me driving to my mother’s funeral and being late getting to my mother’s funeral, I wouldn’t have been behind the wheel in the first place to get the charge.”

Although Flavor Flav was arrested, he still made it to his mother’s funeral with the help of state troopers.
When the rapper was arraigned, he was also involved in another case in Las Vegas, which is where the rapper currently lives. He had pleaded not guilty for a charge of felony assault with a deadly weapon, as well as child endangerment with a weapon.
In 2012, Drayton was accused of pulling a butcher knife out on his girlfriend’s 17-year-old son during a heated family confrontation. If convicted, Flavor Flav could be put in jail for 12 years.
It looks like that case is still pending.
