There’s a website called ‘ Ship Your Enemies Glitter ‘ that is currently sitting at the top of the Alexa.com “What’s Hot” list – a list of the hottest URLs from the Amazon firm that have the Alexa traffic toolbar installed on their pages. (The ‘Ship Your Enemies Glitter’ website is getting so much traffic right now that it’s experiencing intermittent “hug of death” downed service, but keep trying, because it’s worth the read.)
Of course, you can thank Reddit – the so-called front page of the Interwebs – and a sharped-eyed Reddit user for the popularity of the ‘Ship Your Enemies Glitter’ website going viral after they shared this post about the ‘Ship Your Enemies Glitter’ website. Yes, plenty of thanks to both Reddit and the hilariously naughty yet honest writing found on the ‘Ship Your Enemies Glitter’ website.
For approximately $10 Australian dollars, the website will literally ship an envelope full of glitter to your enemies, hoping they’ll open it and read the reasons why you’re shipping them the hated “herpes of the craft world” and get glitter all over themselves in the process. The expletive-filled narrative is funny all the same.
“We f*@king hate glitter. People call it the herpes of the craft world. What we hate more though are the soulless people who get their jollies off by sending glitter in envelopes. | We’ve had enough so here’s the deal: there’s someone in your life right now who you f*@king hate. Whether it be your sh*(ty neighbour, a family member or that b*(ch Amy down the road who thinks it’s cool to invite you to High Tea but not provide any weed.”
The ‘Ship Your Enemies Glitter’ website goes on to explain the whole process of getting a letter full of glitter over to the folks you hate – and their “Frequently Asked Questions” page really puts the icing on the cake, pulling no punches about how they would respond if the glitter you’ve sent causes some type of damage.
“My recipient got glitter in both eyeballs, is now blind & would like to file charges. Help?”
“Heh.”
So there you go. The ‘Ship Your Enemies Glitter’ website may not be the dangerous-looking glitter pills that would make folks poop glitter if they were foolish enough to swallow glitter pills, as reported by the Inquisitr , but shipping glitter could be dangerous all the same – lest we forget that glitter has a sharpness akin to glass. Hopefully it would be more like a fun and annoying joke to the recipient, like one funny woman I know who sends cards full of confetti.
