On December 20, Madonna dropped six unreleased tracks as part of her Rebel Heart promotion after having demos leaked from the upcoming March, 2015 album. Madonna told Rolling Stone that many of those songs were unfinished demos, but it prompted her to pre-release the six tracks that were the most finished on December 20.

Madonna goes on to talk about the six tracks that include “Ghost Town,” “Living for Love,” and “Devil Pray” are mainly produced by Diplo. Rolling Stone also interviewed Diplo about the Rebel Heart and he said that for this album Madonna was “up for anything” and that they were “pushing the envelope.”

Madonna fans on Twitter state that they adore her pre-release tracks for #RebelHeart.

About the six tracks, Madonna explained on her website her plans for the new songs.

“I was hoping to release my new single “Living for Love” on Valentine’s Day with the rest of the album coming in the spring. I would prefer my fans to hear completed versions of some of the songs instead of the incomplete tracks that are circulating. Please consider these six songs as an early Christmas gift.”

Madonna announced on Facebook and her website that she saw her six tracks pre-release as a holiday gift to fans.

Since the Christmas gifts have been delivered to fans, Madonna reviews have been making their way into social media. Within 48 hours of her six track pre-releases, Madonna’s fan page Facebook statuses have been liked over 30,000 times with thousands of shares. In a unique demonstration to show their thanks for the pre-releases, fans have also started a Twitter #RebelHeart satire photo trend based on Madonna’s new album cover. One of the pre-released six tracks that has been focused on in the media is the song “Illuminati.” She told Rolling Stone all about it.

“People are always using the word Illuminati but they’re always referencing it in an incorrect way. People often accuse me of being a member of the Illuminati and I think in today’s pop culture the Illuminati is perceived as a group of powerful, successful people who are working behind the scenes to control the universe. Not people with consciousness, not people who are enlightened. So people were accusing me of being a member of the Illuminati, and I kept going, wait – so first I had to figure out what that meant.”

Madonna thanks her fans for posting their #RebelHeart satire photos and noted that she thought they were creative.

Madonna responds to this by saying that, “Yes, that would be wonderful. That’s possibly something that’s gonna happen.” However, Madonna concluded the Billboard Magazine interview by saying she could not, “spill all the beans right now,” in regards to the Grammy Awards in January.
