Once news hit that James Franco’s film The Interview wouldn’t be released as expected, fans of the actor flooded his page with tweets of disappointment. That said, anyone looking for a proper response from Franco about the whole situation wasn’t going to find it on his social network pages.
The usually candid actor probably isn’t allowed to really voice his opinion on The Interview’s cancellation. Instead, Franco took to his Twitter to tweet about his experience at Broadway’s Cabaret.
#Emmastone kills it in @cabaret !!!! #alancumming is so good I started smoking and slapped his ass. Bye NYC!

The last time Franco addressed the hackers is when he referenced Aaron Sorkin’s scathing letter to the press about their participation in reporting on the Sony leaks.
Nice op-Ed by Aaron Sorkin about the hackers and the press: http://t.co/2KFwLs7gw5

Before Franco left New York for the holidays, he stopped for a party at P.S.1’s Klaus Biesenbach’s house for a get together with performance artist Marina Abramovic, Lady Gaga, and Courtney Love.

Unlike co-star Seth Rogen, James Franco did tweet about his travels home to California, which included some interruption.
Look at this poor guy… He has to follow me around all day and harass me with his stupid camera to… http://t.co/rE2Bm3EhtH

Still, fans didn’t miss the opportunity to give their opinion on how they think The Interview should be released or in some cases just telling the actor that they want to see the film.
@SonyPictures I thought we didn’t negotiate with terrorists, so why did The Interview get pulled? I’m so sorry @Sethrogen & @JamesFrancoTV

I feel bad for those involved with The Interview. @Sethrogen @evandgoldberg @JamesFrancoTV, the cast, extras and crew. Hard work wasted.

As the Inquisitr reported, Sony Pictures has no plans to release the film on VOD.
