The Inquisitr recently reported that as a part of their new drive to boost sales, Pizza Hut, which has been experiencing a decline in sales, has teamed up with snack giant Doritos to bring customers the “ Doritos Crunchy Crust Pizza .”

Now Pizza Hut’s latest invention, which it hopes will boost sales is sure to get a lot of customers talking — it’s cool, creative, interactive, and fun (in a “futuristic” kind of way).

Pizza Hut restaurants in the United Kingdom, will soon have a tablet-based menu that can determine what customers want in less than three seconds. The world’s first Subconscious Menu works by tracking patrons’ eye movements while they are looking at a variety of toppings on the screen.

According to the Blaze , of the 4,896 possible pizza combinations , the menu will recommend one based on the topping or toppings customers looked at on the tablet screen the longest. The menu has 20 key pizza toppings, including chicken and peppers.

But despite that number of possible combinations, the Telegraph said the system has been 98 percent accurate in early testing, which was carried out in the UK.

The Telegraph also reported that the new menu, which took six months to develop, was built with Tobii Technology, a Swedish company which specializes in eye tracking technology.

“We wanted to try a few ideas on the traditional menu format and we’re delighted to have developed the world’s first Subconscious Menu, a unique way to reinvent the dining experience,” said Kathryn Austin, head of marketing at Pizza Hut.

“We wanted to try a few ideas on the traditional menu format and we’re delighted to have developed the world’s first Subconscious Menu,” she said.

Even though Pizza Hut’s new invention has not yet been fully rolled out in stores across the UK, customers must be anxious to test the accuracy of the new Subconscious Machine for themselves.

And what about Pizza Hut restaurants in America? Well, the Blaze reported that Pizza Hut is working with no specific timeline to roll out the new mind-reading invention in Pizza Hut restaurants in the U.S.

The company said it will decide if it wants to expand the menu into the U.S. based on the response of customers in the U.K.

“This menu innovation really is ahead of its time,” a Pizza Hut spokesperson said.
