Maci Bookout and the cast of Teen Mom are returning to MTV for a fifth season in 2015 and, according to a new report, Farrah Abraham may be returning as well.
When negotiations on Season 5 first began, it was reported Bookout, along with Catelynn Lowell and Amber Portwood, were refusing to film if Abraham, who sold a sex tape in 2013, was involved. Months later, Us Weekly claimed the three women were returning without Abraham.
“MTV stars Maci Bookout, Catelynn Lowell, and Amber Portwood — who appeared on the first iteration of Teen Mom in 2009 — are returning for a new season in 2015,” the site reported in August. “Their former costar Farrah Abraham will not be joining them.”
Now, a source claims Abraham may return after all.
“She’ll join the cast [if the show gets picked up for another season],” a source told In Touch Weekly , according to a December 4 report by Hollywood Life .
During an April interview, Abraham spoke about her life after Teen Mom and after the release of her sex tape.
“I think because of the experiences I went through, and I think some of them were unfair, and I guess judged incorrectly from the public when I was going through some things with my sex tape,” Abraham told Us Weekly . “I think it was the catalyst for me to start writing therapeutically, and then I was thinking of fictional characters so I could kind of get out of my head and this came about.”
“I think dating is definitely easier, but I’m working on some other projects right now that help me be around more level-headed men and I hope to find myself a great business man who has his own thing going on and not really about entertainment. I really just want them to get to know me for who I am, and the hardworking individual that I am. Not like some sex symbol, not some person who’s a reality star, I’m like a very real person, and I just don’t want anymore fake people. [sic]”
Among the “fake” people Abraham was referring to were her Teen Mom co-stars. “Truthfully I was never friends with any of them,” Abraham explained of Maci Bookout, Catelynn Lowell and Amber Portwood. “Personally I like to keep my life separate. We came in this project separate, and I think it’s best we keep our lives separate.”
Maci Bookout will be seen in Teen Mom Season 5 in 2015.
