The Sony Pictures hack has led to at least five new movies being leaked online.
The leaked films — including Fury and Annie — are now being targeted by copyright-infringing file-sharing websites, and have already been downloaded a substantial number of times since the initial hack attack.
Reports confirm that Fury , starring Brad Pitt and Shia LaBeouf, has been downloaded by more than 888,000 unique IP addresses since it was first leaked online on Thursday.
Yahoo! Movies confirms that the Sony Pictures hack makes Fury the second most downloaded movie that is currently being pirated, even though it is still being shown in theaters.
In addition to Fury , the Annie remake (originally scheduled for a December 19 release) was also leaked online in addition to three more movies that have not been released yet — Mr. Turner , To Write Love on Her Arms , and Still Alice .

When it comes to current figures, Annie has not been downloaded anywhere near as many times as Fury . One report claims that Annie has only been downloaded by more than 184,000 unique IP addresses. Sony Pictures hopes that these figures will stay relatively low in comparison, since family films are usually not targeted for illegal downloading purposes as much as mature titles that are tailored more for towards young males.
The remaining three movies that were leaked due to the Sony Pictures hack ( Still Turner , Mr. Turner , and To Write Love on Her Arms ) have only experienced a modest level of online piracy so far, with less than 100,000 unique IP addresses since they were first leaked.
An inside source with in-depth knowledge of the Sony Pictures hack and its surrounding circumstances confirmed that the Sony Pictures hack is related to this new movie leak — especially since there is an official watermark on each of the leaked copies.
As previously reported by the Inquisitr , Sony Pictures was added to the list of targeted victims of data breaches earlier this week. Recent reports even claim that North Korea may have something to do with the massive breach.
This major movie leak resulting from the recent Sony Pictures hack marks the biggest incident of online piracy since Lionsgate’s The Expendables 3 was leaked online back in July — three weeks before its scheduled release.
