Since the departure of CM Punk after the Royal Rumble in January, the WWE Universe began to speculate on his return immediately. Granted, the way he left wasn’t the wisest move to make, but Punk, at day’s end, wanted to do what he wanted and nobody was going to stand in his way. Since then, he’s nearly stopped all communication to the WWE and professional wrestling altogether. There are few who still keep in touch, but the list is scarce.
During his absence, Punk’s been silent about mostly everything. Aside from cryptic tweets and a hidden “legends” contract between he and WWE, Punk’s reasoning for leaving the WWE so abruptly was truly never talked about. That is about to change.
According to a report , CM Punk will break his silence and reveal why he left the WWE and much more.
“Former WWE Superstar CM Punk (Phil Brooks) will finally speak out about his exit from WWE tomorrow on The Art of Wrestling Show with his friend Colt Cabana. There have been different reasons that have been speculated about why he walked out of the WWE and finally it seems we will get the answers from the man himself. You can find the show here: http://tsmradio.com/coltcabana/ “
This is absolutely huge and impactful to the WWE community. All the fans wanted were answers. Since Punk never officially gave them, the fans never got the closure they wanted. Consider it like a horrific break-up. Punk broke up with the WWE Universe and all of the friends he met along the way. He left without a note, voicemail or tweet. That’s no way to treat a significant other.
Amidst the sarcasm, that scenario played out like a horrific romantic comedy. During his “retired” lifestyle, Punk stayed busy by signing a contract with Marvel Comics to write for them. It was no secret that Punk loved comics and it became the perfect opportunity to showcase his excellent mind for the creative world, as well as combining that creative mind with comics.
Just like wrestling was for Punk at an early age, this is another dream that CM Punk can cross off his list. He’s truly living a dream that many aspire to have one day.
One person that the WWE fans are forgetting to thank is Colt Cabana. Without this man, Punk may have never came back to the WWE in 2011, continued to keep going despite the frustration and now talk about his departure. Cabana’s been Punk’s best friend for many years. Colt Cabana is doing his part in what will be the most-listened to wrestling podcast of all time.
A few weeks ago, Cabana talked about Punk just being happy at this point in his life. When Punk’s ready to talk, then he will talk. Apparently, Cabana knew something we didn’t at that time, because it is finally happening. The “Voice of the Voiceless” will provide his voice to the WWE Universe in the most-listened to wrestling podcast of all time. Did I mention that already?
