There’s no question that Lindsay Lohan has finally learned her lesson. The former A-List star spent a grueling five hours in prison today for violating her probation. Lohan was sentenced to 30-days in jail, but apparently, that was more of a suggestion than a prison sentence.

The Associated Press reports that Lohan checked into the Century Regional Detention facility in Lynwood at 8:50 p.m. on Sunday. Deputy Tony Moore didn’t say exactly when Lohan was released, but said that she was out of prison early Monday morning. News crews stalking the jail reportedly saw Lohan step into her black Cadillac Escalade at around two in the morning.

When Judge Stephanie Sautner handed down Lohan’s 30-day prison sentence, she made it clear that she did not mean house arrest. Sautner also scolded Lohan’s probation officers during the hearing for allowing Lohan to change her sentence. Officials expected Lohan’s sentence to be cut short due to overcrowding, but Sautner probably isn’t too happy with Lohan’s five hours in jail.

This is Lohan’s 5th prison sentence since her 2007 drunk driving arrest.

Lohan may have gotten out of prison early, but she still has to stick to a strict schedule of community service. Sautner gave Lohan a series of deadlines that she had to meet if she didn’t want to go back to prison. Sautner said that she would send Lohan to prison for 270 days if she violated her parole this time around. Of course, a 270 day prison sentence for Lohan would probably come out to about a four days in the slammer.

Do you think Lindsay Lohan should have served her entire 30-day sentence? Do you think she’ll follow through with her community service this time around?
