Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder may have finally come to a truce on the set of The Vampire Diaries . T he pair have come to some sort of understanding that could allow the show to continue past Season 6.
As previously reported by The Inquisitr , Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder have been feuding on The Vampire Diaries set. The co-stars, who dated for two years before splitting in 2013, are allegedly at each other’s throats, and it’s all over Ian’s girlfriend, Nikki Reed.
Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder’s split was friendly and amicable before Somerhalder began dating Dobrev’s former friend, Nikki Reed. The Twilight actress then moved to Georgia with Ian, and began showing her face — as well as some serious PDA — on the Vampire Diaries set, which is reportedly making Nina feel uncomfortable.
Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder then allegedly began arguing and butting heads over nearly everything, but most of all Nikki Reed’s presence on set, leading The Vampire Diaries fans to believe that Nina and/or Ian may not resign to do the show past Season 6.
Things got so bad that Dobrev was reportedly close to leaving the hit series behind, even though it has a huge fan following.
However, Celeb Dirty Laundry now reports that Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder have settled their differences, for the most part, and decided on a few basic ground rules to follow on the Vampire Diaries set. If the rules are respected by Nina, Ian, and Nikki Reed, it could allow the show to continue filming past Season 6, and convince Dobrev to agree to a new contract .
Meanwhile, some fans are skeptical about how long The Vampire Diaries will continue, as it’s getting to an age that a lot of television shows don’t get to.
In addition to all of those factors, some viewers also wonder if Nikki Reed will be able to keep her cool when Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder begin filming steamy love scenes again. Since it’s her presence that’s said to be the biggest factor in the pair’s feud, it seems like it may be time to kick Nikki off the set for good, as there is not really a good reason she should be there while the cast and crew are working anyway.
It should be interesting to see how Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder’s new truce works out on The Vampire Diaries set.
