The Frozen toys featuring Elsa and Anna may be the sensation that has parents scrambling all over each other during Black Friday 2014. Although Disney is certain to unleash a large variety of Frozen toys, shopping experts are already highlighting the Snow Glow Elsa Doll as the next Tickle-Me Elmo or Zhu Zhu Pet.
In a related report by The Inquisitr , interest in Frozen’s Elsa character is sure to be revived since she is the highlight of Once Upon a Time Season 4 . Disney is even creating a Frozen wedding dress inspired by the gown worn by Elsa.
Due to the late release of the movie in 2013, Disney’s Frozen toys were a bit late to the party, and hence were not a major part of the Black Friday rush. Now that the movie is the fifth highest-grossing film of all time, Disney is trying to capitalize on its continuing popularity by releasing plenty of Frozen toys featuring Elsa and Anna, including dolls, nail polish, tiaras, and all sorts of creations. But even though Disney has had a year to prepare for Black Friday 2014, shopping experts warn that supplies are likely to run out.
“With Anna and Elsa, as prepared as retailers are for the holiday rush for these products, they’re still going to find themselves short,” said Laurie Schact, chief toy officer at Adventure Publishing, a company that handles trade magazines for the toy industry. “It’s a phenomenon.”
Out of all the Frozen toys, we might expect the Snow Glow Elsa Doll to be a fairly popular pick by parents, and Toys R Us is already listing it as a best-seller. It’s a 15-inch miniature of the Elsa character that can sing the famous song “Let It Go,” and even has a snow-themed dress that lights up. The Elsa doll also says 15 phrases from the movie.
Better yet, little girls can match their dolls since light-up dresses are being sold for both Elsa and Anna.
The Snow Glow Elsa Doll also happens to be one of the Frozen toys going on sale way ahead of the Black Friday 2014 madness. So far, Walmart has the best deal, dropping the price from $39.99 down to $28.88, which amounts to 30 percent off of MSRP. Amazon responded by matching this price, and it’s possible other retailers will price match the Frozen toys in the lead up to Black Friday 2014.
