Stephen Collins Fired From ‘Ted 2’ After Molestation Claims

Stephen Collins is not having a good day. TMZ leaked audio of the 7th Heaven cast member admitting to three separate cases of molestation. Now, due to the audio leak, Collins has been fired from the sequel Ted 2 .

According to The Wrap , although Collins has not been charged yet, Ted 2 is not taking any chances on the veteran actor. Now that the New York Police Department is involved in an investigation, Ted 2 gave the actor the boot.

Although no reps from Universal have responded, it is believed that the actor was fired earlier today after the bombshell audio came out of the actor admitting to being involved with three underage girls. Since the news broke the 7th Heaven actor hasn’t reacted on Twitter.

In fact his last couple of tweets have been about the Ted 2 film.

As the Inquisitr reported , the audio of Stephen Collins came from therapy sessions with longtime wife Faye Grant. At the time they were going through a long divorce, and her lawyer advised her to tape record him. At one point the therapist questions Grant on what she wants from Collins after she asks him question after question about his inappropriate behavior.

Her voice could be heard on the tape ignoring him to pry further into Collins’ behavior with minors, which the star admits to openly, even though he seems very hesitant. The one statement that remained throughout the tape was Collins stating that he had written everything down in the documents.

According to a source at The Daily News , the NYPD is investigating Collins and this isn’t the first time.

“We have an active investigation involving Stephen Collins. This is not the first time the NYPD has investigated Collins. The actor had been the subject of a sex abuse investigation several years ago, but the statute of limitations on the case ran out, so no charges were filed.”

Oddly enough Faye Grant, Collins’ second wife, never filed for a divorce. In fact, it was Stephen Collins that filed back in 2012.

We’re not sure if Collins finished filming all of his footage for Ted 2, or if he will be replaced. If he finished filming we can see production cutting out the footage and replacing him with someone else. As it is they have plenty of time as their release date isn’t until June of 2015.
