Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard didn’t get to enjoy much of a honeymoon phase before Jill got knocked up, and now there’s speculation that the mom-to-be and her hubby are going through a rough patch as they prepare to become parents so soon after getting married.
However, the evidence supporting the claim of marital troubles isn’t all that convincing. KPopStarz points to Jill Duggar’s lack of Instagram activity as a sign that she and Derick Dillard are experiencing a little trouble in paradise.
“Uh-oh. Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard may be having some marriage issue! The famous ’19 Kids and Counting’ couple has stopped giving baby news updates on their Instagram accounts, making us believe that their honeymoon phase has definitely ended. If Jill and Derick are having marriage issues, do you think they will reconcile their differences by Jessa’s wedding?”
KPopStarz goes on to speculate that 19 Kids and Counting fans aren’t getting updates because something might have gone wrong during Jill Duggar’s pregnancy. The website also suggests that Jessa Duggar might think twice about getting pregnant so early into her marriage after witnessing her sister’s struggles.
A lack of Instagram posts is hardly a sign of marital woes. Maybe Jill has been too busy living her life to post anything on Instagram. She’s going to be a mom very soon, so now’s the time to do all those things she wanted to do before becoming responsible for another human being. It’s also possible that she’s being quieter after witnessing the media firestorm that her sister Jessa Duggar caused by comparing the Holocaust to abortion in an Instagram post — the last thing Jill needs to deal with during her first pregnancy is a messy media backlash.
It’s not like the Dillards have gone completely silent on social media. On October 5, Derick Dillard shared an Instagram photo that showed a perfectly healthy and happy-looking Jill Duggar at a demolition derby. Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald joined Derick and Jill at the event.
According to Us Weekly , Jill Duggar’s due date is sometime in March. She never expressed any regret at getting pregnant during her first month of marriage, instead saying that she and Derick were “thrilled” after learning that they would become parents so soon.
As The Inquisitr previously reported, Jill’s last Instagram post was on September 28, and it was a message saying that she was “[w]riting out bible verses for encouragement during pregnancy, labor and delivery!” One of her other pregnancy updates was a post revealing that her biggest pregnancy craving is green beans with salt and vinegar.
Do you think 19 Kids and Counting fans should be worried about Jill Duggar’s lack of Instagram activity, or is it silly to expect her to share details of her life every day?
