ISIS Urges Supporters To ‘Slaughter’ U.S. Military Families

ISIS is threatening the lives of the loved ones of U.S. military. A bulletin issued by the Army Threat Integration Center states that Islamic State militants is urging their supporters to search social media profiles to find the addresses of military members – then to their homes and “slaughter them.”

The Army Threat Integration Center issues alerts concerning terrorist or criminal threats to all American military posts. The ISIS warning bulletin recommended specific precautions to members of the military in order to protect both their homes and online social media profiles.

An excerpt from the ISIS threat to military families bulletin.

“Given the continued rhetoric being issued by ISIL’s media services and supporters through various social media platforms the ARTIC is concerned of the possibility of an attack. Soldiers, Government Civilians and Family Members are reminded to be vigilant of their surroundings and report suspicious activities to their respective military or local law enforcement.”

The Army warned that an ISIS jihadist tweet calling for lone wolf attackers to use the Yellow Pages to find the locations of soldier’s loved ones as well. An unnamed military source told Fox News that the information on the four-page warning memo is being taken seriously.

The security protection levels at military installations has not changed, according to an Army statement. “This document is a reminder to stay vigilant. It provides renewed emphasis on force protection measures to ensure the safety and security of our DOD components, defense critical infrastructure, personnel and communities,” the notice to military members said.

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Mike Rogers (R-Michigan) stated during a cybersecurity meeting earlier this week that ISIS continues to use social media as a recruiting tool. Rogers estimated that the Islamic State is recruiting approximately 3,400 supporters each month via their online efforts.

During a radio interview on Sunday, Abu Saqer, an al-Qaeda representative from the Gaza Strip, said, “Islam is coming and there is no other choice.” The Islamic State in not formerly associated with al-Qaeda. As previously reported by The Inquisitr, Qatar is allegedly attempting to negotiate a truce between ISIS and the al-Nusra Front – a group reportedly associated with al-Qaeda. The al-Nusra Front is also involved in the civil war fighting ongoing in Syria. The al-Nusra Front is also known as Jabhat al-Nusra, Tanzim Qa-edat Al-Jihadi fi Bilad Al-Shamor or simply as al-Qaeda in Syria.
