South Carolina’s Republican Senator Lindsey Graham did not hold back his feelings about Obama or Obama’s plans for ISIS in his interview on Fox News Sunday . Senator Graham wants it made known the seriousness of these Islamic terrorists (ISIS or ISIL) and the effect they could have directly to America — on our soil.
Huffington Post reports that Graham was bold enough to say that the Obama administration is “delusional” if they think they can battle the Islamic State “primarily through expanded air strikes and by training Syrians for ground combat.” Graham continues to inform viewers of his strong beliefs.
“There’s no way in hell you can form an army on the ground to go into Syria to destroy ISIL without a substantial American component. This president needs to rise to the occasion before we all get killed back here at home.”
Senator Graham says that fight against the Islamic State is a “turning point in the war on terror,” because the United States is not fighting against a “terrorist army,” as reported by The Washington Post .
Denis McDonough, White House chief of staff made the statement, “When the White House tells the world, ‘We say what we mean and we do what we say,’ Graham says no one believes that anymore, and goes on to say that statement must have “encouraged ISIL.”
“It’s going to take an army to beat an army. This idea we’ll never have any boots on the ground to defeat them in Syria is fantasy.”
Rhode Island’s Democrat Senator Jack Reed does not agree with Senator Grahams assumptions, stating that Obama’s plan will work because it’s a political struggle as much as a military one. Washington Post reveals Senator Reed stating, “The fight is ‘their’ fight. And the plan has great potential to work.” Graham is quick to snap back a retort.
“It is our fight! It is not just their fight. This is a radical Islamic army that is pushing the theory of a master religion, not a master race like the Nazis…. It’s about protecting millions of people throughout the world…. They’re intending to come here. So I will not let this president suggest to the American people we can outsource our security and this is not about our safety.”
MSNBC reported Jon Stewart poking fun at Senator Graham with his sarcastic remark, “The poor man lives his entire life trapped in The Blair Witch Project . For God’s sakes, I’ve seen chihuahuas in handbags who are less fretful and shaking.” However, it’s rather interesting that breaking news today has revealed that a man in New York has been arrested for supporting ISIS and wanting to do harm to Americans.
ABC News has just released the information that federal prosecuters have said “Mufid Elfgeeh, 30, of Rochester, plotted to kill U.S. soldiers who had returned from Iraq. Undercover FBI agents formed a relationship with Elfgeeh (he had no idea they were agents), who was encouraging them to form an allegiance with ISIS, by going overseas and joining the terrorists in Syria.
The court documents also state that over a period of several months, Elfgeeh had been posting on Twitter and other social networks “praising ISIS and urging others to donate a third of their salaries to terrorists in Syria,” per ABC News .
Senator Lindsey Graham is being proven to be exactly correct as the report goes a little deeper into Elfgeeh’s plans. Elfgeeh is a citizen of the United States, and owns a food store in Rochester, New York. Yet, his intentions on his native country, the United States, is atrocious. He was planning on doing something here in the U.S.
“I’m thinking about just go buy a big automatic gun from off the street or something and a lot of bullets and just put on a vest or whatever and just go around and start shooting.”
Elfgeeh went on to say that he also wanted to target U.S. soldiers who had come home from Iraq. Jon Stewart, how’s that for a shaking Chihuahua? Elfgeeh absolutely confirms what Senator Lindsey Graham is telling the United States in a pledge he made to the informants.
“ISIS will one day rule the world with the will of Allah.”
Even Homeland Security officials have warned that ISIS sympathizers could strike within the United States, as reported by ABC News . Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson stated, “ISIS is now vying to be the preeminent terrorist organization on the world’s stage. Its public messaging and social media is as slick and as effective as any I’ve ever seen from a terrorist organization.”
Most Americans, unlike Senator Reed and Jon Stewart, agree with Senator Lindsey Graham, based on an NBC News/Wall Street Journal/Annenberg poll revealing that 68% of Americans believe Obama’s plan is unlikely to succeed, as reported by The Washington Post .
Let’s think on this last statement that Senator Lindsey Graham made during his interview Sunday night as was reported by The Huffington Post .
“This is the last best chance” to stop them. They will open the gates of Hell to spill out on the world. This is not a Sunni-versus-Sunni problem. This is ISIL against mankind.”
