Gwen Stefani has been a busy woman lately. She is the mother of three children, a judge on The Voice , working in a new solo album, and possibly a new No Doubt album.

In a recent interview with MTV, Gwen Stefani shared that she is working on a new solo album alongside Pharrell. However, when asked about her past with No Doubt, she revealed that a reunion is possible.

“At this point I’m thinking about both, I can do both. And it’s just an amazing time; so many opportunities. I’m going into the studio tonight with Pharrell [Williams], I’m going to be writing and also just seeing what comes along my way. I’ve been recording a few things. …”

Pharrell Williams shared that Gwen is on fire and may be unstoppable, even at her age.

“You’ll never believe that she does not look her age, she doesn’t look like she’s had three children — but that’s the cool part, she is her age and she’s had three children and she’s killing it. When I tell you she’s killing it, it’s another level. Gwen is somewhere else.”

He went on to say:

“The last time I said this about Miley [Cyrus], everyone was like, ‘What? That’s Hannah Montana,’ and I’m like, ‘What? I’m trying to tell you.’ I mean, only because I’ve heard it not because I have those ears or I know — I don’t know anything. All I know is what I feel and what I’m convicted by and I can tell you that Gwen is on something else right now.”

The last No Doubt album released in 2012, and there are plans for the band to perform at the New York Citizen’s Festival, September 27th. Gwen Stefani ‘s management has not confirmed a new No Doubt album at this time.

Gwen Stefani has had a fantastic solo career that piggy-backed off of her time with her bandmates. A new album would not only be welcome to fans, but a refreshing reminder that a solo act can reunite with his or her roots and bring back the same chemistry that they once had. It will be amazing to see how her matured sound meshes with her old band to create something new, and if they will incorporate the Ska vibe that they perfected in their sound.
