WWE News: Fan With WCW Sign Threatened To Be Arrested At Raw?

In one of the craziest stories of the week, a fan at the WWE Raw event in Des Moines, Iowa was almost arrested for having a WCW sign. Normally, the WWE will just ask you to put down the sign, or rather confiscate the sign entirely. Usually, the CM Punk and Chris Benoit signs are the ones taken down.

The original posts can be found on Redditt’s pro wrestling forum, the Squared Circle . Below is a brief excerpt from the disgruntled fan’s experience at WWE Monday Night Raw:

I got threatened with arrest. They tried getting my id for records. F** the entire company. They kicked me out because of the sign. It’s fine that I got kicked out but trying to bully me. Bring it. The piece of s*** guy in the suit with the WWE logo on his suit is a little b**** yes man for Vince.

His post goes on for a little while longer. E-Wreslting News updated everyone on the story, as he certainly has the right to be upset with WWE’s drastic measures of being slammed down on live television.

UPDATE: As previously reported, a fan was kicked out of Raw for holding a “I Could Be Home Watching Nitro for $9.99” sign at the show. That fan has now posted to Reddit slamming WWE for kicking him out. The fan said that security threatened to arrest him, tried to get his ID and accused them of bullying him.

WWE needs to lighten up with their censoring of fan’s signs. There are exceptions to the rule though, as certain members of the IWC that think their satire is really funny, just take the whole Benoit thing way too far. It begins with social media, as Benoit becomes a joke within the world of professional wrestling. His murder-suicide is not a joke. Signs that mention his name should be confiscated.

As for the sign the gentlemen above had, there is no problem with that. With WWE not hitting the proper numbers they wish to land, I can understand their frustration. WCW Nitro is airing on the WWE Network all week and a lot of hardcore fans may want to watch Nitro, rather than Raw.

Plus, Monday Night Raw cannot claim to have amazed the crowd the past two weeks. Other than a great Divas segment, the Highlight Reel, and a few good matches last week, what can the WWE be proud of? Without Paul Heyman, Brock Lesnar and Bray Wyatt’s beautiful promos, WWE is less than mediocre. Something needs to change quick, or fans will watch the Network, rather than watch Raw.
