Leaked photos of nude celebrity females have been the talk of the internet this weekend. It’s a wonder the internet hasn’t shutdown do the increase in traffic of people scrambling to find them before they are removed, only to reappear elsewhere. For a webmaster, the hits that such photos would bring in is a dream come true, however not all web site owners are willing to post them. Perez Hilton did post the naked pictures of Jennifer Lawrence, but soon took them down after his conscious got the better of him.

Posts of the photos on his website were embraced by drooling onlookers, as well as irate fans that berated Perez for taking advantage of the situation. After some contemplation, he took them down and tweeted his reasoning.

Further tweets stated,

“I acted in haste just to get the post up and didn’t really think things through. I’m sorry.”

Four minutes later, Perez Hilton tweeted:

“At work we often have to make quick decisions. I made a really bad one today and then made it worse. I feel awful and am truly sorry.”

A final tweet continued,

“Upon further reflection and just sitting with my actions, I don’t feel comfortable even keeping the censored photos up. I am removing them.”

Perez Hilton did not find the tweets to be enough to apologize for what he had done, and went onto YouTube to post a video of his apology.

As a result of his change of heart, Perez has promised to never post nude celebrity photos on his web site again. Although Perez stated that he did not remove the photos due to threats of lawsuits, a spokesperson for Jennifer Lawrence has share that anyone posting such photos will be targeted.

“This is a flagrant violation of privacy. The authorities have been contacted and will prosecute anyone who posts the stolen photos of Jennifer Lawrence.”

Jennifer Lawrence is not the only celebrity female that had nude photos leaked on the internet this weekend, although she is probably the most coveted of the bunch. Joining her is Rihanna, Kim Kardashian, Mary-Kate Olsen, Cara Delevingne, Kate Bosworth, Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens, Kate Upton, Kirsten Dunst and Kaley Cuoco.

Authorities believe they have narrowed down the hacker’s identity, although the man accused denies being involved. Whether or not he, or she, is caught and prosecuted, the invasion of privacy is an eye opener to everyone that uses their phone to take selfies . How safe do you feel in regards to the pictures on your phone?
