Kim Kardashian has always been a proud mother when it comes to her child, North West, who she clearly adores with all her heart. Now Mommy Kim is even prouder, as it seems her daughter is a real “chip off the old block.”
In fact, Kim was so proud of North that for at least four months after she was born she felt comfortable enough not to wear any makeup or hair products as, according to her, they interfered with quality snuggle time between her and her baby.
In Friday’s edition of Women’s Wear Daily, Kim Kardashian spoke about what life was like just after she gave birth, explaining that North West is just like her mom:
“North likes to brush her own hair. You start with a brush and then you have to get a second brush [for her]. Right when you get it all perfect, she takes the brush and starts doing it herself.”
She went on to explain just how difficult a task it is to get North West’s locks under control and looking the way Kim wants them:
“I just started using our oil because I needed to slick it [her hair] back and make it stay,” she said of her family’s new hair product line. “I just use a drop of it, but then she brushes it and likes to mess it all up.”
Even though North West might not be thrilled with the tons of hair treatments she receives at the hands of her very caring mother, according to Kim it’s all worth it in the end, as are most matters when it comes to the realm of women’s ablutions.
Kim explained the strict hair regime Nori has:
“I start out the first day with a clean blowout. The second day, I put in dry shampoo, which adds texture. Then, the third day, I sleek it and I straighten it, and then, the fourth day, I put our oil in it, and I make it a really sleek look. I might do a ponytail or a sleek bun. That’s my hair plan, and then I start over.”
Despite all that, motherhood has definitely taught Kim a thing or two about humility versus vanity, as she revealed:
“Ever since I had the baby, there was at least four months I went without makeup or hair products. I loved it. You can kiss your baby and you can snuggle. I am less on the makeup since I had a baby for sure because it makes it hard to kiss.”
One can only imagine how much makeup and hair product Kim Kardashian must have caked on for snuggling to be an issue with her daughter. Most people just don’t wear enough of anything to make snuggling a problem.
