Following the not-so-surprising announcement that Batman v Superman has been moved to March 25, 2016, Warner Bros. has announced nine new superhero films through 2020 . The war against Marvel is on.

Fans have complained for years that Marvel is kicking DC Comics’ butt with all their superhero movies. One after the other, they just seem to pop out of the oven. Iron Man, Thor, Avengers, Captain America only to name a few, are some of the recent Marvel movies which have brought in billions to the studio.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice leads the way, followed by nine dates for their untitled superhero new movies, through 2020. Comic fanboys and girls, rejoice!

Here is the complete list of DC superhero films, through 2020:

Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice – 03/25/16 Untitled DC Film – 08/05/16 Untitled DC Film – 06/23/17 Untitled DC Film – 11/17/17 Untitled DC Film – 03/23/18 Untitled DC Film – 07/27/18 Untitled WB Event Film – 11/16/18 Untitled DC Film – 04/05/19 Untitled DC Film – 06/14/19 Untitled DC Film – 04/03/20 Untitled DC Film – 06/19/20 Untitled WB Event Film – 11/20/20

As you can see, Warner Bros. is holding some kind of “event” in November of 2018 and 2020. What that means we are not sure at the moment, but we will find out. We can also see that none of the dates announced by WB conflict with those already saved by Marvel for their new movies.

Marvel recently announced five untitled superhero films, and their calendar through 2019 looks like this:

Avengers: Age of Ultron – 5/1/15 Captain America 3 – 5/6/16 Untitled Marvel Film – 7/27/17 Untitled Marvel Film – 11/3/17 Untitled Marvel Film – 7/6/18 Untitled Marvel Film – 11/2/18 Untitled Marvel Film – 5/3/19

Warner Bros. chose dates that are close enough, but not the same as Marvel’s, to avoid all the moving around they had to do with Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice . According to this calendar, DC will own the summer of 2018 with two superhero films, plus they have that “event” planned for November. The same seems to be the case for 2020.

DC Entertainment will be making up for lost time as they attempt to lure in movie-goers who have been clamoring for more from the comics giant. Warner Bros. has made fans very happy, and of course all the speculation now begins, as to what exactly we will be seeing in the next six-years.

We know that the superhero mash-up Justice League , which we’ve been hearing about for ages, is coming in he heels of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and at least one Batman spin-off is being talked about. Many will also want to see some of the other characters of the DC universe come to life, including a true Man of Steel sequel, Shazam, Wonder Woman, and Sandman.
