‘Duck Dynasty’ Season 7 To Feature Phil Robertson’s Family In Scotland?

With the Duck Dynasty Season 6 finale just around the corner on August 13, attention is now turning to where Phil Robertson’s family may be going for Duck Dynasty Season 7. As it turns out, the entire family may have secretly traveled to Scotland in order to film episodes related to finding their family roots in their Scottish heritage.

In a related report by The Inquisitr , the latest trend among news reports is to claim we’ll see Duck Dynasty canceled soon because the Season 6 ratings were much lower than previous seasons. This idea is not completely without merit because the ratings plunge has seen the audience shrink to almost half its previous numbers. A&E does not believe this is a problem because Duck Dynasty is actually doing better than other reality TV shows that are this old. It also does not hurt that Duck Dynasty merchandise continues to sell very well at Walmart and other stores.

The filming crew for the reality TV show was spotted following some of the Duck Dynasty family when they participated in the Inverkeithing Highland Games in Scotland this past Saturday. Both cast and crew threw themselves into the games by taking part in a tug of war competition.

According to The Courier , the Duck Dynasty producers have not explained why they are in Scotland, but 58-year-old local Jock McInnes says he was walking the Lomond Hills when he accidentally stumbled across the camera crews:

“I told my friend that it was the people from Duck Dynasty and I went to speak to one of them. He was very nice, although a security man stepped in eventually.”

But McInnes did manage to find out why Duck Dynasty Season 7 is being filmed in Scotland:

“I was told that the Robertson clan came from Kinross-shire and they are here to follow that up.”

Catherine McCartney works at the gift shop at the Clan Donnachaidh Museum near Pitlochry and she says, “They were all really down- to-earth, nice people.”

Otherwise, not much else is known about the plans for Duck Dynasty Season 7. A&E executives have previously talked about having several Duck Dynasty spinoff TV shows, including one called Porter Ridge which is based in Indiana and features a Country Auto Parts store owner named Terry Porter.
