Nicki Minaj’s backside is almost as popular as her music, and she knows this. We all know this. That’s probably why the rapper decided to put her extremely famous curves front and center on the cover of her latest single, “Anaconda.”
After an extremely long wait, Minaj is finally preparing to unveil The Pink Print , her first album since 2012’s Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded . Although she’s already dropped “Pills N Potions” on the masses, it seems Nicki wants to keep the momentum going by issuing another single off the record. Even if the song disappears into the musical ether, chances are people will remember the accompanying artwork for quite some time.
According to Hollywood Life , Nicki Minaj debuted the “Anaconda” artwork on her Instagram page earlier this week. Given the nature of the pic, it didn’t take very long for the world to notice. Check out the artwork in question below. Note: This is the edited version of the cover. Since we try to keep it family-friendly at The Inquisitr , the offending rump was carefully removed and placed in a secure area.

While the Nicki Minaj “Anaconda” artwork definitely has its fair share of fans and supporters, some folks weren’t exactly thrilled about the racy pic. In true internet fashion, they posted an array of disapproving comments on Minaj’s official Instagram page.
According to Rap-Up , Minaj reposted the “Anaconda” artwork with the caption “unacceptable.” She also uploaded this year’s Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue cover featuring an array of scantily-clad behinds, all of which were dubbed “acceptable.” Hypocrisy? Perhaps. Regardless, this caused a number of Nicki supporters to take their issues out on Chrissy Teigen, who was clearly taken by surprise.
“I just landed and I have a Nicki Minaj fans going absolutely bats**t on me. No idea why,” the model explained. The internet doesn’t need a reason, Chrissy. We’re sorry.
MTV News points out that there are several Nicki Minaj-inspired products already on the market. Not only can you pick up a t-shirt featuring the rapper’s plump rump, you can also snag a shower curtain, a duvet, and a tasteful clock for your office wall. There’s even a onesie for your baby, you know, in case you’re a mom who enjoys ridicule. And, yes, you can actually buy these things, though that doesn’t necessarily mean you should.
What do you think about Nicki Minaj’s “Anaconda” cover? Is the rapper just having fun, or is the image a little too racy for her own good?
