The 2014 San Diego Comic Con starts in a few hours, and Marvel Studios has revealed two new pieces of art taken from the hotly anticipated Avengers: Age of Ultron .
The two posters are exclusive to San Diego Comic-Con and depict two members of the Avengers battling Ultron’s horde of android soldiers.
In the first poster, Iron Man (Robert Downey, Jr.)–complete with a new suit–a derivation of the Mark 42 suit last seen in Iron Man 3 –is blasting an Ultron Android in the face with his hand repulsors as other Ultron Androids attack.
In the other, Scarlett Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) has ripped the head of an android in half, all while completely surrounded by the Ultron Army.
The concept artwork of Iron Man is by artist Ryan Meinerding , the head of Marvel’s Visual Art department. His previous work includes prints of Captain America fighting The Winter Soldier from Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
The Scarlett Witch artwork is by Andy Park , another veteran of Marvel Studios Visual Department. Park also contributed a promotional poster for the upcoming Marvel Studios film, Ant-Man. The Ant-Man image can be seen in its entirety at Entertainment Weekly’s website .
Andy Park created the previous Avengers: Age of Ultron artwork released earlier this spring. The previous concept artwork introduced fans to Quicksilver (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) and the Scarlett Witch, and there was even artwork depicting Iron Man in the “hulk-buster” armor going toe-to-toe with The Hulk (Mark Ruffalo). That artwork can be seen here .
Both posters with the new artwork are available for attendees at San Diego Comic Con’s “Preview Night’ and are free while supplies last. The posters can be picked up at the Marvel Booth, according to the Marvel website. Marvel plans to reveal additional artwork and freebies during the remainder of the convention.
