Kate Middleton is reportedly pregnant and ready to move out of her home at Kensington Palace to play out her pregnancy in a quieter setting.
Sources say that the Duchess of Cambridge and her husband, Prince William, are expecting child No. 2, and have decided to retreat from the hustle and bustle of London in favor of their home at Anmer Hall.
Prince William is set to start a new job in September close to Anmer Hall, working as an ambulance helicopter pilot. Kensington Palace offiicials are expected to announce the move within a few weeks. The Daily Mail reported that Prince William wants his son to have the same “carefree, rural childhood” that he had.
The move seems a bit curious, as William and Kate Middleton spent more than $1.5 million in renovations to Kensington Palace before the birth of Prince George in order to make it baby ready.
But other sources say there is another important reason for the move — Kate Middleton’s pregnancy. Kate and William reportedly want to be as far away from the press as possible for Kate’s second pregnancy. Kate encountered health problems while carrying Prince George, and was constantly hounded by reporters and photographers.
There is still no official word from the royal palace whether Kate Middleton is indeed pregnant, however. Last week one of Kate’s childhood friends, Jessica Hay, said in an interview that Kate is indeed pregnant and that an official announcement would be coming soon.
Late last week, ET Canada spoke to a palace spokesperson, who denied that Hay has any inside knowledge.
But while the royal palace claimed that Jessica Hay doesn’t have a line directly to the Duchess of Cambridge, they did not comment on reports that Kate Middleton is pregnant.
