North Korea’s Kim Jong-Un Declares War On James Franco, Seth Rogen, And The U.S.

North Korea’s most famous dictator is either real life parodying art, or perhaps this “threat” is just him slyly making a joke, but Kim Jong-Un has essentially declared war on James Franco and Seth Rogen for the impending release of their movie The Interview .

In a related report by The Inquisitr , even The Interview’s trailer make is quite clear the whole movie is about assassinating Kim Jong-Un, so perhaps it is with no surprise that little Kim is not a fan :

“There is a special irony in this storyline as it shows the desperation of the U.S. government and American society. A film about the assassination of a foreign leader mirrors what the U.S. has done in Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria and Ukraine, and let us not forget who killed [President John F.] Kennedy — Americans. In fact, President [Barack] Obama should be careful in case the U.S. military wants to kill him as well. James Bond is a good character and those films are much more enjoyable.”

But we all know how much North Korea loves its saber rattling and attempts to escalate threats to ludicrous heights (perhaps they’re compensating for something?). Now they are using the film as an excuse to threaten President Obama and the United States by releasing a strongly worded statement :

“If the United States administration tacitly approves or supports the release of this film, we will take a decisive and merciless countermeasure…. [The movie is] an act of war that we will never tolerate.”

Of course, the ironic part about North Korea threatening war over this movie is that apparently Kim Jong-Un still plans on watching it according to Rogen:

On a more serious note Rogen does say he put a good chunk of research into making this comedy:

“We read as much as we could that was available on the subject. We talked to the guys from Vice who actually went to North Korea and met Kim Jong Un. We talked to people in the government whose job it is to associate with North Korea, or be experts on it.”

How do you think the United States should respond to North Korea’s declaration of war on two of its citizens? Almost makes you want to award those two guys the Medal Of Freedom, does it not?
