X-Men’s Bryan Singer Hit With New Sexual Assault Lawsuit

Another hit has come for writer, director, and producer Bryan Singer, who last month was named in a lawsuit alleging that singer had sexually assaulted Michael F. Egan when he was between the ages of 15 and 17. The new lawsuit, which was filed by the same lawyer who filed on Egan’s behalf, Jeff Herman, alleges that Singer sexually assaulted an anonymous British teenager. The lawsuit names Bryan Singer and producer Gary Goddard.

According to The Daily Beast , who broke the story, Herman will be giving details about the new lawsuit against Singer at a press conference later today at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles at 2pm.

In the meantime, some details about the alleged assault have already been revealed. In the new suit, the plaintiff alleges that Goddard held several webcam sessions with the teen starting from when he was between the ages of 14 and 15. When the teenager was 17-years-old, Goddard and Singer allegedly contacted him to meet because they would be in London for a Superman movie premiere. This is presumably Superman Returns , which was directed by Bryan Singer.

The suit alleges that at the after-party Singer offered the teenager a Quaalude, which the teenager rejected, according to the suit. In the bedroom of the hotel suite, where an “after” after-party was being held, Singer and Goddard, the suit says, “starting grabbing John Doe in a sexual manner.” The teenager asked the men to stop. Goddard allegedly returned to the room with a “large, musclebound man” who began to smack the teenager around, according to the complaint.

When Singer removed his boxer shorts, the suit alleges, the teenager said, “I do not want to do that.” According to the complaint, Singer told the teenager to sit on top of him and masturbate, that he wanted the teenager to ejaculate on him. Singer attempted to anally penetrate the teenager. The next morning, according to the complaint, Singer contacted the teenager to apologize.

The Hollywood Reporter says that Singer’s attorney, Marty Singer (no relation) has already vehemently denied the new accusations. “After the substance of (attorney Jeff Herman’s) previous defamatory and fabricated filing in Hawaii was disproved based on unassailable evidence, Mr. Herman’s desperation has led him to fabricate these new anonymous accusations against Mr. Singer, which we will also prove to be completely false.”

Singer refers to contradictory evidence of Bryan Singer’s whereabouts during the time of an assault detailed in Egan’s case.

Singer’s new film X-Men: Days of Future Past opens May 23. So far Fox has been cautious in the aftermath of the first suit’s filing, pulling all of Singer’s press appearances.
