Of all the up and coming team, save my hometown Detroit Lions, I like the Tampa Bay Buccaneers the best. One, because they are good, and two because they rebuilt this team on the fly. Last year they took two DT’s in the draft, and this year they took two DE’s. Those four player should form the core of a solid D line for years to come. Sure, this team still has some work to do but they are coming believe that.
The biggest need I see comes at RB, and I do not think their sixth round pick Allen Bradford is the answer to it. Of course they were very savvy in picking up LeGarrette Blount and he is the starter. I am just worried about what is behind him. The rest of the offensive skill positions look to be pretty set. There are some free agency concerns along the O line, but nothing Bucs fans should lose any sleep over.
On defense the big holes look to be in the LB corps, especially at the OLB spots. No one stepped up and showed anything special in 2010, and there are some free agency issues here. I would like to see this team bring in some clear upgrades or stick with what they got and look for some young prospects in the NFL draft. Depending on how free agency goes, MLB could be an issue as well.
All in all this is a pretty good, and a very young team. It will be very interesting to watch as they come together as a unit.
