Just as Hilary Duff is ready to record music again , is she also ready to let a man back into her life? And not just any man – her husband?
Hilary and estranged husband Mike Comrie spent the weekend together at California’s Coachella music festival, and appeared much closer than two people who are supposedly “separated.”
Their chill, sun-filled day at Coachella came after an afternoon spent together in Beverly Hills, where the couple shopped for Coachella gear; Hilary proudly showed off her bag purchase on Twitter. (Who was watching 2-year-old son Luca while the parents were out? Grandma, according to Twitter, and had a ball doing so):

So with the weekend toddler-free, does this mean romance has been rekindled for Hilary and Mike? Not so fast, a source tells Us Weekly.
“They are still separated but very good friends. They are at Coachella this weekend, which is sure to fan the flames, but they aren’t a couple. It’s just not true – they remain separated.”
Though they claim separation, neither Duff nor Comrie have filed the proper documents to make their split legal – perhaps there’s hesitance on both ends? News of their separation came only four months ago, and after three years of marriage. Just in February, Duff and hubby were spotted in the Bahamas with son Luca on what Hilary called their “Modern Family vacation.” Their split was due to what US Weekly called a “lack of effort” on Comrie’s part, after he failed to work on any of the issues brought up when the two attended counseling. Perhaps now Comrie’s finally stepping up? In any case, all the alone time this weekend is a good sign for a possible union in the future.
There’s also more for Hilary to look forward to than romance: we’ll soon see her back on our television screens! TV Land announced on Monday that they’ve ordered 12 episodes of Duff’s new show Younger . The sitcom follows Liza, a newly single 40-year-old struggling with re-entering the workplace. With the help of a makeover, she poses as 26 and lands a job as an assistant at a publishing house – and makes fast friends with Kelsey, played by Hilary Duff (who has no idea Liza is actually 40!) Great to see Hilary making a return to acting, singing and perhaps, her love life.
