Rita Ora didn’t have much of an issue working with boyfriend Calvin Harris in the studio.
Some couples definitely have a difficult time working together, regardless of their profession. However, this apparently wasn’t a problem in Ora’s case. Although she described Harris as “blunt,” there wasn’t any major turmoil to speak of during their time together.
The Fifty Shades of Grey star discussed working with the famous DJ during a recent interview with BBC Radio 1 presenter Nick Grimshaw. If you were hoping that the couple had it out while working on her upcoming album, then you’re about to get a serious case of disappointment. Nothing of the sort took place during their recent collaboration.
“I was actually a bit nervous because he’s never seen me in work mode. But literally just ten minutes in he was so blunt. I think it’s the Scottish-ness in him, he was just like ‘no’ etc. and it happened so quick. It was a very good experience,” she told the publication.
The singer added, “It’s about having fun and because I take everything so seriously, I’m always a bit like work, work. He’s like, ‘You really need to just enjoy it.’ And I agree, so I’m just enjoying it right now. And I’m happy we kind of did it together. It’s a nice little feeling for me, it makes it personal.”
Rita Ora’s adoration of her boyfriend doesn’t begin and end in the studio. During her recent conversation with Elle , the singer-turned-actress said she experienced love for the first time with Harris. Chances are that revelation is like a knife in the heart of ex-boyfriend Robert Kardashian.
Why does Rita Ora adore Calvin? She explained:
“There are so many things. The fact that he got something out of me that I never thought I had. Yes, like falling in love. I just didn’t think I had it. I’d never experienced it before. And I was just like in the wilderness, thinking, ‘Will it ever happen?’”
Ora recently unveiled the first single from her upcoming album, the DJ Calvin Harris-produced track “I Will Never Let You Down.” The song, which the singer described as a love song you can dance to, recently arrived complete with a music video. Check out the tune in all its glory below.
