Demi Lovato was recently slammed by comedienne Kathy Griffin on Twitter. However, the “Neon Lights” singer doesn’t seem too bothered by the recent comments.
The former Sonny with a Chance star recently waded into a fray with Lady Gaga after her controversial set at SXSW earlier this month. Since Lovato believes that Mother Monster was essentially glorifying bulimia by bringing a self-proclaimed “vomit painter” on-stage, she felt the need to denounce the performance.
One person who feels that Demi Lovato needs to shut her trap is Kathy Griffin. According to E! Online , the D-lister labeled the singer was one of the “biggest douche” celebrities on the planet. Although she initially referred to Lovato as Debbie, everyone knew precisely who she was targeting with the barbs.
When the question was originally posed, Kathy didn’t hesitate to toss out the singer’s name. She wrote, “Probably [Demi] Lovato. Plus she should calm the f*** down bout Lady Gaga getting barfed on.”
Of course, the tweet in question has magically disappeared from the micro-blogging site. However, this didn’t stop the comment from reaching Lovato. Entertainment Tonight reports that Demi responded by posting an admittedly amusing image from an unknown event, a gathering that proves Lovato isn’t a Griffin fan.

“Only a ‘douche’ to people I can’t stand,” she wrote. The singer quickly deleted the tweet and the pic. Nothing else on the subject has arrived since.
Not surprisingly, several Demi Lovato fans started sending a string of mean and hateful messages in Kathy’s general direction. The comedienne retweeted a few of these comments, prompting the singer to get her legion of fans under control.
Lovato wrote:
“I love you guys so much but y’all gotta chill with sending hate towards other people. Regardless of what they say or do.. The cruel things some of you are saying can really, REALLY hurt people. It’s called cyber-bullying and somethings should NEVER be wished upon EVER. No matter WHAT. It makes me so sad to see how mean people can really be after all I’ve spoken out about anti-bullying. Be an example for other haters. I know my #Lovatics are better than that. I really appreciate you guys always having my back but this is going way too far. “
It’s still unknown what prompted Kathy Griffin to label Demi Lovato as one of the world’s “biggest douche” celebrities. While she did delete the offending comment shortly after its arrival, Griffin has yet to apologize for the seemingly random tweet as of this writing.
