DeSean Jackson may soon be on the move. Could New York be a possible landing spot for the controversial wide receiver? The Eagles, as previously reported by Inquistr , have been fielding trade offers for DeSean from multiple teams including the San Francisco 49ers and the New England Patriots. Another team that is also reportedly interested in Jackson however, is the New York Jets. And with free agent quarterback Michael Vick visiting with the team today, could a reunion between DeSean Jackson and Michael Vick be in the works?
Ian Rapoport of NFL.com certainly suggests the Jackson and Vick to Jets rumor could be true with a post made to his Twitter account recently:
#Jets host Michael Vick Friday & worth noting they are among teams who have inquired about DeSean Jackson via trade. Vick & DeSean are close

According to a report on SI.com , Jackson recently fell out of favor with head coach Chip Kelley and could be traded at any moment with both sides looking to distance themselves from each other:
“Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson was on thin ice with the team and that he was just one misstep away from being shipped away. The questions about Jackson’s future with the Eagles bothered the receiver, and now he could be looking for a way out.”
The Jets meanwhile, are in the market for a backup quarterback to challenge presumed incumbent Geno Smith at the position. They still have the much maligned Mark Sanchez on their roster, but it’s been rumored for months that Sanchez will be cut due to the enormous salary he will draw in 2014. Michael Vick has been mentioned in conjunction with the Jets because of his familiarity with offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg’s system. And now with the DeSean Jackson rumors in full force, the timing of Michael’s visit with the Jets couldn’t be better.
And while both Vick and Jackson have had controversy surrounding their time in the NFL, many believe the reunion makes sense from the Jets perspective according to NFL.com :
“Jackson is a similarly dynamic talent who can add a much needed shot of adrenaline to a Jets offense that’s been sputtering for years. Adding Eric Decker was a necessity. Importing Vick and Jackson could make the New York Jets — gasp — potentially imposing on offense.”
What do you think? Should the New York Jets pursue both Michael Vick and DeSean Jackson?
