Amazon: PS4 In Stock Today, Walmart Helps You Buy PlayStation 4 Locally

Finding a PS4 in stock on Amazon has been very difficult since the launch of the console, and Walmart’s PlayStation 4 availability hasn’t been much better. Everyone wants to buy PS4 consoles nowadays, so if you see an alert like this you better jump on it!

In a related report by The Inquisitr , Amazon’s PS4 availability has largely been limited to third party options demanding $500 on up. Near the beginning of the year, Sony claimed that PlayStation 4 availability should pick up as 2014 marched on but instead the average PS 4 “deal” actually became slightly worse . Worse, many people keep trying PS4 eBay auctions even though you’re likely to lose money , which just makes it even harder to find a PS4 in stock.

Early this morning Amazon sent out an email alert telling everyone they had the PlayStation 4 in stock again. While nothing was said about how many units were available, this writer successfully purchased the console this morning and it’s still being listed as available as of this writing.

But don’t despair if you happen to check right now and it’s suddenly gone. Some readers have pointed out that when Amazon lists the PS4 in stock there’s a trick to getting one. Apparently, Amazon employees are putting their stock up a little at a time, so when they announce availability it’s possible that by refreshing the page every minute or so you can snag one.

Unfortunately, Walmart’s PS4 availability online has been quite limited these past several months. Out of morbid curiosity, I’ve sometimes checked my local Walmart and never seen a PlayStation 4 on shelves. The good news is that if you go over to their website there’s an option for checking availability by your location. For example, this writer just checked and the only store to list a PS4 in stock was over 50 miles away.

Do you have any tricks for finding a PS4 in stock at Walmart or Amazon?
