It’s pretty good to be Camila Alves these days. Not only is she Academy Award Winner Matthew McConaughey’s wife and awards date, but she has beautiful children with the Dallas Buyers Club actor. Wrapping up a successful awards season for McConaughey, it looks like the two are in such a celebratory mood that they’re thinking about adding on to their family.
After the Oscars win, Matthew McConaughey was after some time alone with Camila Alves. McConaughey, who won his first Academy Award on Sunday, was very candid while speaking with The Sun about his plans after the after party. When asked about what his plans were, the actor admitted that he just wanted to spend more time with his wife Camila Alves .
“We won’t stay at the after party long—I want to go home and make another baby!”
Although the night was centered around Matthew, the actor made sure that he brought it all back to his family while accepting his first Oscar for Dallas Buyers Club . During his speech, McConaughey became emotional when he began to speak about his life with Alves.
“To my wife, Camila, and my kids, the courage and significance you give me every day I go out the door is unparalleled. You are the four people in my life that I want to make the most proud of me. Thank you.”
After his win, the actor stopped by the press room to speak more about his life with Camila and their children. At the time, the Magic Mike star said:
“They understand that papa goes to work, that there’s a difference between reality and movies, and that he can be in more than one place at a time. I took Levi to set on Lincoln Lawyer and let him watch a scene and then let him watch it on the monitor, and for him it was a magic trick—you can be in more than one place at one time.”
Camila Alves and Matthew McConaughey have a pretty big family as it is. The two are the parents of three children; Levi, 5, Vida, 4, and Livingston, who is fourteen months. After years of dating, the two were married in 2012.
Earlier in the season, Matthew admitted that it was because of Alves’ support that got him through his challenging role in Dallas Buyers Club , which pushed him to lose almost fifty pounds to portray the role of HIV victim Ron Woodruff.
