Florida police officers shot dead a wild naked man with “superhuman strength” who allegedly assaulted multiple victims violently. The Tuesday morning shooting occurred after Anesson Joseph, 28, reportedly ran naked through his neighborhood on a rampage. Joseph is accused of growling at officers and attacking residents as maneuvered around the community on foot.
Cell phone video footage clearly shows Anesson Joseph disobeying the police officers who attemptd to subdue him with a taser long before reaching for their lethal weapons. The wild naked man, as he was described by startled residents, reportedly appeared to be in a “state of psychosis.”
Joseph allegedly attacked countless Delray Beach neighbors and chased Douglas Kozlik, 66, a retired police officer – injuring the senior citizen in the process. He is also accused of attacking a 10-year-old boy and Tony Grein, 18, who attempted to come to the aid of his younger sister, also allegedly an attack victim. Grein tackled the naked man, allowing his sister to run safely to their home and call for help.
The heroic teenager told local reporters that Joseph attempted to bite his face during the attack. Grein wound up with multiple cuts, bruises, and stitches to his ear because of the fight with the “ridiculously strong” man.
The Florida teen said this about the attack:
“I can say from personal experience if this guy can take a couple of stab wounds and gun shots and still move and hurt people, I think they did what they had to do to protect everyone. I was just aiming for him. Anything to stop him from getting to my sister Tania. He started biting right away, not a punch, not a hit like you would expect. I was kind of shocked. It was that fear of, ‘This guy is invincible.’”
Tania Grein had this to say about being attacked by the naked man on a rampage in her Florida neighborhood:
“I think I would be dead or raped, or something bad would have happened to me if my brother wasn’t there. I feel like my brother is a hero.”
Delray Beach police officer attempted to help Joseph after the shooting. The suspect reportedly resisted their efforts and ultimately died later the same day at the hospital. Mario Grein, the hero teen’s father, also attempted to subdue the wild naked man, but was unable to stop him. The elder Grein also feels that the Florida police officers’ decision to use deadly force protected the neighborhood. “He had plenty of strength to take out more people. My son is on the smaller side, but to me he is a hero. He saved my daughter’s life.”
Palm Beach County Sheriff Ric Bradshaw feels that Joseph was delirious and “on something.” The deputy also said, “He is a huge guy. He takes a fighting stance. They’re trying to get him on the ground. He starts charging them. The taser did not affect him.” A Sheriff’s sergeant fire three shots at the naked and growling man, two to his lower extremities and one to the upper torso.
