The February issue of GQ has confirmed what men across the world have long believed: Katy Perry’s boobs are heavenly.
A gift from on high.
Divine.
“I lay on my back one night and looked down at my feet, and I prayed to God,” Perry tells Amy Wallace for the lifestyle mag . “I said, ‘God, will you please let me have boobs so big that I can’t see my feet when I’m lying down?’”
Checkmate, atheists.
“God answered my prayers,” Katy adds, her gaze drifting downward. “I had no clue they would fall into my armpits eventually.
Mysterious ways?
Katy’s upbringing was modest and conservative, her parents having reformed their hippie ways of allegedly partying with the likes of Jimi Hendrix and Timothy Leary. That meant rock and roll was verboten, but Katy still managed to sneak in the likes of Incubus, Morcheeba, Queen, and Portishead. The GQ piece tells the story of how the cartoonish pop-tart that captured the music world with a song about kissing a girl began as an adolescent girl herself, singing and strumming in a Santa Barbara farmer’s market and being paid in produce for her performance.
“I’d put out my guitar case, and I’d test out these little ditty songs that I would write, and I would get a couple of avocados, a bag of pistachios, and, like, fifteen bucks. That was a lot of money for me,” Perry explains.
The article also explains the rationale behind Katy Perry’s controversial geisha get-up, tailored specifically for “Unconditionally,” which she wrote during one of the “off” periods of her on/off relationship with beau John Mayer.
“I was thinking about unconditional love, and I was thinking: Geishas are basically, like, the masters of loving unconditionally,” Perry rationalizes.
“All I was trying to do is just give a very beautiful performance about a place that I have so much love for and find so much beauty in, and that was exactly where I was coming from, with no other thought besides it,” Katy said in the wake of the resulting fuss.
As previously reported by The Inquisitr , Katy Perry is gearing up for a North American tour that will last for almost four months starting in June.
“The Prismatic World Tour is coming to light up some of my favorite North American cities this summer, as well as some new cities that you introduced me to through your video requests,” Katy said in the tour announcement on katyperry.com.
