California UFO sightings have piqued the interest of many after multiple reports were made of sightings that took place early New Year’s Day. Sightings came from all across California, including Stockton, Sacramento, and Auburn.
Witnesses say that they saw strange lights in the sky, lights that had nothing to do with the fireworks. My Fox 8 reported that people saw multiple glowing objects in the sky that night. Most witnesses shared similar stories, that they remember seeing four to six “unusual-looking” lights. Kaye Pinlac of Stockton told ABC News affiliate News 10 the following:
“I seen like six bright orange colored lights. They were almost like in a diamond or triangle shape. It was weird. And so they started just separating.”
According to ABC News , Pinlac actually captured the strange lights on a video on his phone. Another witness, Steven Brown from Sacramento, stated that he saw the same strange lights.
“It was bright enough to shine directly through the trees without any problem seeing it,” he said. “Whatever it was moved up and to the left… It hovered there for probably about 60 seconds, then it took off at a high rate of speed.”
These UFO sightings weren’t just isolated to California. Reports state that there were very similar sightings in North Carolina. Even though there were multiple reports of these sightings, Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Ian Gregor claims that there were no reports of UFOs. “There was no unusual flight activity reported Tuesday night,” Gregor told reporters.
Even though there are multiple witnesses to these strange lights in the sky, Federal authorities have said today that there has been no unusual flight activity in these areas. Will that stop those witnesses and others from believing that what they saw were in fact UFOs? That’s not very likely. With the start of a new year, there are bound to be more sightings to come.
